Leidos has been awarded a contract whose value is pegged at $6.52 billion for Global Solutions Management – Operations (GSM-O) II, which provides support services for the operation, defense, and sustainment of the Department of Defense Information Network/Defense Information System Network.
The place of performance is predominantly within the continental US (CONUS); however, support services are also required at multiple locations outside CONUS, the US Department of Defense announced Tuesday.
The GSM-O II contract manages the Global Information Grid, a series of interconnected networks and computer systems that serve as the backbone of DOD's command and control systems. The communications and data tech platform stores and transmits information to warfighters, policymakers and support staff worldwide.
