Kinetics, L-3 CPS Sign Agreement To Manufacture InfiniDrive HMX Transmissions

Kinetics Drive Solutions Inc. has signed an agreement with L-3 Combat Propulsion Systems, which provides L-3 CPS with a manufacturing license for the Kinetics HMX Series of Infinitely Variable Transmissions.

“Kinetics’ transmission product line gives us options to offer our customers a wider variety of modern and fuel-efficient products,” said Pete Ostrom, vice president of business development for L-3 CPS. “We look forward to expanding our solutions portfolio in support of our domestic and international military customer base.”

“These modern, high-power-density transmissions allow L-3 CPS to provide advanced technologies coupled with improved fuel economy and less emissions to support the mobility demands for future generations of heavier tracked combat vehicles,” said Gordon Osborn, marketing director of Kinetics.

Under this agreement, L-3 CPS will market, manufacture, and support the HMX advanced series of transmissions, which complements other transmissions that the company sells.
