Radio Tactics has signed a partnership agreement with Wynyard Group, a New Zealand based provider of critical threat assessment and advanced crime analytics software.

The global partnership delivers an advanced mobile device data network and analytics solution for rapidly capturing and extracting data from seized mobile devices, and connecting it to other data sources, according to an official statement.

It also explained that the solution brings together Radio Tactics specialist device data capture hardware and networking expertise with Wynyard's powerful advanced crime analytics software which connects the mobile device data to other intelligence and evidence from any source.

The actionable intelligence and evidence will be immediately available to front-line military and law enforcement officers, allowing them to see persons, events, locations and artifacts of interest to their investigations or operations.

Radio Tactics' ACESO Kiosks are used by frontline officers in the world's leading law enforcement and military organisations, for comprehensive and evidentially-sound data extraction from mobile phones, GPS devices, SIM and media cards.

Data extracted includes call records, SMS messages, photographs, MMS messages, location information and communication records from apps installed on smartphones. This rich pool of data can be exploited for evidential and intelligence purposes. To deal effectively with the growth in data volumes an ACESO Network Solution is available to facilitate connection of ACESO Kiosks and data across multiple sites and operations providing access to acquired data across many cases or jurisdictions.

Wynyard's advanced crime analytics can rapidly connect data captured by  ACESO Kiosks or a network of Kiosks, to other evidence, cases or central intelligence holdings to uncover new evidence, suspects, victims, organised crime networks or terrorists.

Radio Tactics' Managing Director Andy Gill said using Wynyard's advanced crime analytics to integrate mobile device data extraction capabilities with international and local crime data sources creates a compelling solution that will deliver real benefits for front-line officers.

"The challenge facing investigators when searching through masses of data is to see a more complete picture of a person or event of interest. The volume and type of devices, and the variety of data formats and data sources add enormous complexity to an already difficult task. Radio Tactics help solve the capture and extraction process so it makes sense to partner with Wynyard and solve the wider operational problem."

In 2007, a market leading smartphone may have stored just 128MB of data, today, it can carry 64GB and is connected to the cloud. "These necessary tools of trade for criminals in the business of conducting serious and organised crime have never been more powerful and more connected. These seized devices have also never been more interesting for officers charged with solving and preventing crime, says Wynyard Group Managing Director Craig Richardson. The challenge is how do front-line officers make use of this captured data by rapidly connecting it to other evidence, cases or intelligence? That's the problem that Radio Tactics' and Wynyard' can now solve.”
