Tougher, Smarter Armored Vehicles at Eurosatory 2014

This year's Eurosatory exhibition in Paris showcased the next generation of armored vehicles which offer higher protection, are lighter and can sense enemies better.

The Thales group displayed Hawkei Light Protected Mobility Vehicle weighing 7 tons is designed for rapid air mobile deployment.

VAB Mk III 6*6 armored personnel carrier by Renault Defense Trucks offers NATO level 4 protection and is anti- blast and IED protected. Another vehicle ALTV from Renault is a light weight 4*4 is developed by ACMAT.

Oshkosh's Terramax is an M-ATV unmanned vehicle rigged  with Terramax autonomy kit, which enables the vehicle to demonstrate route clearing to carry out unmanned missions.

Renault Defense Trucks demonstrated a number of vehicles, including the 20 ton VAB Mk III 6×6 armored personnel carrier offering NATO Level 4 protection, anti-blast and IED protection.

Iveco demonstrated LMV configured to carry out CBRN reconnaissance missions.

The eight wheel ARGO all terrain vehicle mounting a Paradigm SRP remotely operated weapon station fitted with the PEARL gunshot detection system from Metravib.

IMI is yet to unveil CombatGaurd, armored combat vehicle designed to offer protected off-road mobility.

BearCat SWAT APC armored tactical vehicle from Lenco Industries 4-Door variant with rearward facing flip-down seats, which offers and open floor plan and 5 entry and egress points on the vehicle.

General Dynamics built Piranha 3 and 3+ are also on display at Eurosatory.
