Yemen plans to acquire the Insitu ScanEagle Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) through a proposed United States Navy contract with the manufacturer, Forecast International reported Monday.

The deal includes one ScanEagle System consisting of nine ScanEagle Electro-Optic and three ScanEagle Infra-red UAVs. The deal also includes a 12 month/3,600 flight hour sustainment package, acceptance testing, spares, technical manuals and training.

The ScanEagle is a low-cost, long-endurance UAV developed by Boeing and The Insitu Group. The UAV, which is four-feet long with a 10-foot wingspan, can remain on station for more than 15 hours.
