Turkish Armed Forces has received the third peace eagle airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft from Boeing Tuesday.

The AEW&C aircraft was delivered on schedule on Sept. 4 at Konya Air Base, the fleet’s main operating base. Boeing has to deliver the fourth aircraft for the program in 2015.

In addition to the four aircraft, the Peace Eagle program includes ground support segments for mission crew training, mission support and system maintenance.

AEW&C provides advanced airborne surveillance and battle management capabilities, and can simultaneously track airborne and maritime targets.
