Sozvezdie has developed set of communication devices which can endure immersion in water and provide high-quality transmission even with strong interference, according to Ria Novosti.
Sozvezdie is a part of the state run Rostec and is based in Voronezh.
"All the products can withstand immersion in water for two hours to a depth of up to one meter, operating at a temperature of minus 30 degrees Celcius (-22°F) to plus 50 degrees (122 °F)," the concern said in a statement Friday.
According to Sozvezdie, the Argon-E complex can determine the location of the user and his route with coordinates displayed on a monitor in real time.
The design can be used by law enforcement agencies, Russia’s Emergencies Ministry, and border guards. It is comparable to the best international designs, and is the only one of its kind on the domestic market.
