KMW Acquires Diehl Defence Land Systems

Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) has acquired Diehl Defence Land System from Diehl Defense under a contract announced on December 17.

However, the contract is subject to approval by the antitrust authorities.

Diehl Defence Land Systems plays a leading role in the market of various fields like tank tracks and suspensions equipping all the Bundeswehr´s tracked vehicles.

The Latest innovations of  Diehl Defense Land System includes light-weight tracks for the German infantry combat vehicle PUMA as well as segmented rubber band tracks.

Diehl is contributing to the consolidation of the German land systems industry with the transferral of its vehicle business.

The company will increasingly focus on its core business comprising guided weapons, intelligent ammunition as well as impact and protection. For KMW, the acquisition adds a strategic range of products and services to the existing portfolio.
