After reports of ISIS possessing drones, a lesser known terrorist group, the Takfiri has been using drones to spy on the Syrian Army.
The Syrian army shot down a spy drone of the Takfiri terrorists in the Northern province of Aleppo on Monday, FARS News reported today.
The terrorists' spy drone was spying on the Syrian army troops redeployment in the village of Sifat in Northeastern Aleppo.
The FARS report said, enemy drone flights over Syria have increased in recent months. In late December, the Syrian army intercepted an Israeli spy plane (drone) in the province of Quneitra near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
Syrian TV had shown the alleged Israeli drone some time ago claiming, "the drone was on a spying mission above the town of Hadar when it was shot down,". It had further claimed that the Israeli drone was a Skylark I.
The ISIS had earlier released videos which look like it had been shot from drone. It had also claimed be in possession of surveillance drones and to have shot down an Iranian drone.
