Textron Wins $250M for Armored Security Vehicles

Textron Marine & Land Systems Division of Textron, New Orleans, La., was awarded on Sept. 11, 2011, a $250,052,470 firm fixed price contract for US Army Tank Automotive Command which is also exercising the option to purchase 346 each Armored Security Vehicles (AVS) from Textron Marine & Land Systems. Work will be performed in New Orleans, La., with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2009. One bid was solicited and one bid was received. US Army TACOM, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-05-C-0470).
