Middle East, Asia Propel Thales’ Financial Growth

Thales has achieved a significant financial growth in the year 2014 with 40% increase in order intakes particularly from Middle-East and Asia since 2012.

Thales has recorded order intake of €14.36 billion in 2014 in total, representing increase of 11% compared to €12.9 billion in 2013. Meanwhile, sales increased by 2%.

The 2014 Annual Results report states that the order intakes in the Middle East and Asia saw an increase of 38% and 15% respectively.

In Middle East, the order intake in the emerging markets including Aerospace, transport and defense and security continued to grow reaching €4,267 million or 30% of total order intake in Middle East. Meanwhile, Asia saw €1,701 million growth in 2014 compared to € 1,479 million in 2013.

Similarly, the sales in Middle East were €912 million last year, recording 9% growth compared to €833 million in 2013. Furthermore, the sales increased by 14% in Asia recording € 1,823 million in 2014, meanwhile in 2013 it was € 1,597 million.

In all the business markets, Thales achieved a commercial growth in 2014 with drastic increase to €14.36 billion in order intake, indicating an increase of 11% compared to 2013.
