Sikorsky Aircraft has won a $38.8 million contract from the US department of Defense for procuring critical parts and associated support for two CH-53K system demonstration test article aircraft.
The pentagon announced Monday that the critical parts include forgings, castings, cores, beams, blocks for assemblies, frames, skins, spars and fitting assemblies.
The work is expected to be completed in December 2018. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
