The Royal Australian Air Force will receive two additional Airbus A330 multi-role tanker transports (MRTT) aircraft.

Australian Minister of Defense Kevin Andrews announced the signing of an approximate US $315 million contract with Airbus Defense and Space today.

The two aircraft will join the fleet of five aircraft already in service with RAAF designated as KC-30A.

The aircraft will be based on two Qantas Airways A330-200 airlines and will be converted to A330 MRTT. The aircraft are scheduled to be delivered in 2018.

The Royal Australian Air Force will obtain an additional pair of Airbus Defense and Space KC-30A multi-role tanker transports (MRTT).
