Lockheed Martin Wins Retrofit modification Contract For F-35 Aircraft

Lockheed Martin has won a $37.5 million contract for retrofit modification of F-35 aircraft.  

The modification authorizes engineering change proposals for air vehicle retrofit modifications to be incorporated into designated aircraft and supporting subsystems in support of the F-35 aircraft Block 3F requirements, the company announced  

This modification also includes retrofit modification kits, installation, and labor to incorporate the modification kits. 

Work is expected to be completed in August 2018. 

Fiscal 2014 and 2015 aircraft procurement and research, development, test and evaluation (Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force) funds of $13 million are being obligated on this award.
