Malaysia To Buy Starstreak V-Shorads Missiles

Malaysia has signed a deal for procurement of Thales Starstreak V-Shorads, GM-K1 vehicles and light weight multiple launchers, radars and command and control systems from UK.

Malaysia signed an agreement with Global Komited, a subsidiary of Weststar Group and Thales during DSA 2014 to market Starstreak system to Malaysian Armed Forces to replace Thales’ Starbust V-Shorads which has been in use with air defense of the military bases.

Malaysia signed the deal ahead of UK Prime Minister David Cameron’s visit to Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.
