The Russia’s United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation will present its latest Chirok reconnaissance and strike drone at MAKS-2015 air show.
The Chirok drone can carry weapons inside the fuselage, improving aerodynamic and stealth characteristics.
It was developed by the Moscow Research Radio Engineering Institute, Sputnik International reported today.
The Rostec's deputy CEO Dmitry Shugaev said that completely new materials had been used to construct the air-cushion, representing the "super know-how" of the Russian aviation industry.
The maximum takeoff weight of the drone is 700 kilograms (1,523 pounds.) The drone altitude limit is 19,700 feet, and it has a range of up to 1,550 miles.
The MAKS-2015 international aviation and space show will be held in the city of Zhukovsky near Moscow on August 25-30.
