DCNS FREMM Frigate Tahya Misr Enters Egyptian Naval Service

The DCNS FREMM frigate Tahya Misr has joined a naval fleet of Egyptian Navy during the inauguration of Suez Canal expansion on Thursday.

The frigate was delivered on June 23rd.

The contract also includes through life support services for five years which will be carried out in Egypt by DCNS. The Group is transferring the necessary skills and know-how to Alexandria Shipyard for the corvettes building as well as the high technology equipment integration and their through-life support.

DCNS will provide the SETIS combat system and the Panoramic Sensors and Intelligence Module (PSIM) for this type of vessels. This assembly brings together the integrated mast with its various instruments as well as the Operational Centre.
