Boeing to Build, Test Darpa HyFly Flight Test Vehicle

The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., was awarded on Sept. 25, 2008, a $18,344,893 modification to a previously awarded other transaction for prototypes agreement to fabricate and flight test a HyFly flight test vehicle. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo., (46 percent), Sacramento, Calif., (28 percent), Mesa, Ariz., (12 percent), Phoenix, Ariz., (4 percent), Andover, Mass., (3 percent), Portland, Ore., (3 percent), Kennedale, Texas, (2 percent), Minneapolis, Minn., (1 percent), Parsons, Kansas, (1 percent), and Santa Clarita, Calif., (less than one percent), and is expected to be completed in Nov. 2010. Funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source award.
