Spirit Aeronautics Develops Avionics Upgrade For C-21A Aircraft

Spirit Aeronautics has developed avionics upgrade to modernize military C-21A aircraft.

The modernization will meet the demands of worldwide flight operations in both military and civil airspace, the company said in a statement.

The C-21A aircraft is the military version of the LearJet 35A business jet. The primary mission of the C-21A is to provide military personnel with high speed, low volume cargo and passenger airlift during normal operations and up to five ambulatory passengers during aeromedical evacuations. It is a multi-role aircraft with a 2,306 mile (3,689.6 kilometers) range and speeds up to 530 miles per hour (MPH).
