Mistral Ropes In Ex-BEL CMD As Strategic Advisor

Mistral Solutions has roped in Ashwani Datta, Ex-chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Electronics (BEL) as a Board Member and Strategic Advisor to the firm.

"With over four decades of experience in our industry, I believe Mr. Datta will add a valuable perspective to our strategic future plans," said Anees Ahmed, Chairman and Managing Director, Mistral Solutions said in a statement Thursday. "We appreciate his willingness to serve as a member of the board and look forward to benefiting from his guidance and counsel."

Mr. Ashwani Datta joined Bharat Electronics after graduating in Mechanical Engineering from The Delhi College of Engineering in 1972. He has seen the company grow from a single Unit to multiple Strategic Business Units. He has extensive experience in Development & Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance and installation / commissioning of complex Radar & Communication Systems. He rose to the post of a Director in 2006 and was elevated as CMD in 2009. He has the unique distinction of having headed 8 of the 9 Units of BEL during his career.

After a memorable 39 year stint at BEL, Mr. Datta also held the distinguished and honorable position of Member, Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) for the Govt. of India.
