Russia has delivered a wing of new modernized MiG-31BM fighter-interceptor aircraft to the Aerospace Forces base in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Pilots and maintenance personnel of the air base located in the Nizhny Novgorod Region had passed transition trainings for the new aviation hardware and will shortly start flight practice, Russian Defense Ministry announced Thursday.
Recently aircraft maintenance specialists have performed examination of the new hardware, which included the check of assemblage quality, testing of all avionics and complexes, flights in different engine operation modes.
