Sikorsky Wins US Army Chopper Maintenance Contract

Sikorsky Company has won $833 million contract from the US Army for maintenance work of UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter.

The contract will see Sikorsky performing fixed engineering, program management and systems engineering sustaining work, the US Department of Defense announced Monday.

Sikorsky will carry out most of the maintenance work at its Stratford, Connecticut, facilities over the next year, the Defense Department noted.

The contract’s completion date is December 31, 2016, according to the announcement.
