Raytheon has won a $98 million contract to supply projectile and 120 millimeter Precision Extended Range Munitions (PERM) to US Marine Corps.

The 120mm PERM will provide an extended range, guided, precision-capable projectile with improved lethality for the Expeditionary Fire Support System, US Department of Defense said in a statement Tuesday.

The contract will include production verification and type qualification projectiles (low-rate initial production), technical documentation, and production orders.

The contract will have a maximum 60-month effective period, with five 12-month ordering periods.
