Selex ES has won a contract to provide diverse radar stations, repeaters, and communications systems to Angola.
The agreement signed by Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos on December 23, is to procure the equipment, major components, and support services necessary for the design and installation of a national center and three regional centers for maritime surveillance, Forecast International reported Thursday.
Total value for the program is expected to be worth EUR115 million ($125.7 million). However, the radar type is not announced yet.
Angola has signed various contracts with Finmeccanica last month that includes the purchase of six AgustaWestland helicopters and two Whitehead Sistemi Subacquei fast patrol boats.
