Lockheed Martin Wins $92 Million Contract For Israeli C-130J Aircraft

Lockheed Martin has won a foreign military sales contract worth $92 million for the production of C-130J Super Hercules military transport aircraft for Israel.

“Lockheed Martin Corp. - Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Marietta, Georgia, has been awarded a not-to-exceed $92,419,070 modification to previously awarded contract for C-130J production,” the US Department of defense announced Friday.

Work will be performed at Marietta, Georgia, and is expected to be complete by July 5, 2016.

This contract is 100 percent foreign military sales to Israel, the statement added. 

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) received its first C-130J airlifter in June 2013.
