Boeing To Supply 12 Chinook Helicopters Worth $308 Million To Holland

Boeing has won a foreign military sales contract worth $308 million from the US Army to supply 12 CH-47F Chinook helicopters to Holland.

“Boeing, Ridley Township, Pennsylvania, was awarded a $308,035,700 modification (P00042) to foreign military sales contract W58RGZ-13-C-0002 (Holland) for 12 CH-47F helicopters,” the US Department of Defense announced Thursday.

Work will be performed in Ridley Township, Pennsylvania, with an estimated completion date of April 15, 2016.

The twin-engine, tandem rotor heavy-lift helicopter CH-47F is the upgraded version of CH-47Ds. Its design features alterations to the airframe structure to reduce the effects of vibration, as well as other structural enhancements the cockpit, cabin, aft section, pylon and ramp.
