Raytheon Wins $90 Million USAF Contract For Multi-Spectral Targeting Systems

Raytheon has won the US Air Force contract worth $90 million for the production of 39 Multi-Spectral Targeting System (MTS).

“Raytheon Co., McKinney, Texas, has been awarded a $90,115,060 fixed-price incentive and firm-fixed-price contract (0018) on basic ordering agreement FA8620-11-G-4050. Contractor will provide 39 Multi-Spectral Targeting System turrets and associated data, production support, and spares,” the US Department of Defense announced Monday.

Work will be performed at McKinney, Texas, and is expected to be complete by April 30, 2018.

The Raytheon MTS electro-optical sensor family, which also is for the C-130 fixed wing aircraft, the MH-60 helicopter, the Reaper UAV, and other aircraft, have been integrated on more than 16 US military and Department of Homeland Security aircraft.
