DCNS has signed a framework agreement with ONERA aerospace research center to conceptualize and develop French and European joint research projected in the areas of aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, navigation, above surface detection, drones and robotics.
The agreement aims to develop synergies and propose joint research and development projects in the naval and maritime domains, DCNS said in a statement Monday.
It would also include working together on future weapons systems, DCNS said.
The alliance comes after collaboration on Mistral-class ship bridge aerology, the L'Adroit patrol vessel's integrated mast and other projects.
