Irkut Corporation will finish the deliveries of 14 Sukhoi Su-30MKA multirole fighters to Algeria in 2017, according to the Russian aircraft manufacturer’s annual report.
"The deliveries of Su-30MK aircraft to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria are planned for a period of 2016-2017," the report obtained by RIA Novosti said.
On September 11, Russian state technologies corporation Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov had said that Moscow would supply Algeria with 14 jets. No price for the contract was given, but the reported cost of a Su-30MKI fighter stands at 2 billion rubles ($30 million) per unit.
Algeria already has 44 of Russia's heavy multi-role Su-30MKI fighter jets in service.
