Raytheon Wins $132 Million Modification Contract For X-Band Radars

The US Missile Defense Agency has awarded Raytheon a contract modification worth $132 million for software maintenance and Ballistic Missile Defense System test planning, execution and analysis for X-Band radars.

Under this contract modification, the contractor will continue software maintenance, models and simulations, engineering support and Ballistic Missile Defense System test planning, execution and analysis for X-Band radars, the US Department of Defense announced Tuesday. This modification will also include software development.

“The value of this contract modification is $132,455,000, which increases the total ceiling value from $910,460,000 to $1,042,915,000,” the statement said.

The work will be performed in Woburn, Massachusetts.  The ordering period is from the date of award through Oct. 31, 2017, the statement added. 

The Missile Defense Agency, Huntsville, Alabama, is the contracting activity.
