Boeing Wins $700 Million USAF Contract For Small Diameter Bomb I

Boeing has won a $700 million contract from the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center for Small Diameter Bomb Increment 1 (SDB) production. 

As per the terms of the contract, the Air Force will supply SDB I weapons of Lot 12-14 and associated carriage systems, the company announced Tuesday.

Work is expected to be completed by Dec 12, 2021. The contract will use fiscal 2015 and 2016 procurement funds. FMS funding of $130 million was already obligated when Boeing received the contract.

This contract involves foreign military sales (FMS). This award is a result of a sole-source acquisition.
