Pakistan will be exporting 100 MFI-395 Super Mushshak trainers to Turkey.
The MFI-395 is an upgraded and locally manufactured variant of the MFI-17 Mushshak. The original deal with Turkey was for about 50 aircraft, so it now appears to have doubled in size.
"This would be Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC)'s single largest export order in its history," Chairman of the Pakistani Senate’s Standing Committee on Defence, Lt. General (ret.d) Abdul Qayyum was quoted as saying by Quwa Defense News & Analysis Group reported two weeks ago.
Earlier in August, Pakistan’s Minister of Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain in an interview with PTV said that Turkey had requested Islamabad to be part of the development program for its next-generation fighter aircraft.
Similarly, in June, Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) and Qatar Emiri Air Force signed an agreement for supply of Super Mushshak Aircraft. However, the number of trainers Qatar purchased was not revealed.
