Russia has planned to approve its state arms procurement program for the years 2018-2025 in July 2017.
“Spending is not expected to be curtailed but the focus will be given to high technologies,” Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin told TASS on Thursday.
The new 2025 State Arms Procurement Program implies the development and fielding of next-generation precision-guided weapons, earlier, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov said.
The supreme commander-in-chief had set a task to the defense sector to uphold comprehensive modernization, introduce military hardware and create weaponry to ensure the advantage over any adversary.
