Raytheon has been awarded the US Air Force contract worth $24 million for Griffin A, an aft-eject missile.
“Raytheon Co., Missile Systems, Tucson, Arizona, has been awarded a $24,993,572 firm-fixed-price contract for Griffin A Block /III missiles,” the US Department of Defense announced Friday.
Work will be performed at Tucson, Arizona, and is expected to be complete by Dec. 1, 2017. This award is the result of a sole-source acquisition. Fiscal 2016 and 2017 procurement funds in the amount of $24,993,572 are being obligated at the time of award. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, is the contracting activity.
