BAE Systems has won a $49 million contract from the US Air Force Research Lab to enhance intelligence-sharing capabilities.
Under the five-year contract, the company will develop, deploy and maintain cross-domain solutions for protecting sensitive information shared over government networks.
"We're helping our customers innovate advanced cross domain technologies to enhance virtualization, boost data processing, and support the integration of machine learning solutions," BAE Systems Intelligence & Security president DeEtte Gray said in a statement Thursday.
The work will aim to make transfers of messages, images, audio and video information more secure.
The enhancements can benefit the US Defense Department, the intelligence community, and other government agencies.
