Lithuania Earmarks 2.5 Billion Euros To Modernize IFV, Howitzers, SAM Missiles By 2022

Lithuania has earmarked Euro 873 million for the defense expenditure for 2018.

Among the several programs listed in the Lithuanian Defence System document released , main modernization projects include two battalions of Infantry fighting vehicle BOXER-VILKAS until 2021, one artillery battalion of Self-propelled PZH2000 Howitzers until 2019, Norwegian–US advanced surface to air missile system NASAMS by 2020.

A total allocation of more than 2.5 billion euros is earmarked for the modernization program for 2017-2022, the document by Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Lithuania said.
