The US- based firm Channel Logistics, a world leader in offering technological solutions to maritime and seaport security, is looking to enter the Indian market. The company has put up a big stall at the defence exhibition INDESEC 2008 in the Indian Expo Mart in Greater NOIDA. Channel Logistics is upbeat about the Indian market, says Anshuman Dutta, the company’s advisory board member at the stall. The company has a long-term plan for the Indian market, Dutta added. The American company offers a full spectrum of Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) products, services and subject matter experts for innovative maritime-related threat analysis, assessment, mitigation, remediation and planning to support mission execution. Channel Logistics delivers the full range of non-classified, user-defined operating picture (UDOP) capability development including visualization, collaborative environments, information exchange requirements, data dissemination rule sets, and data storage and retrieval. It can customize, redesign and develop tailored technical, analytical or programmatic system solutions necessary to support designated governmental efforts that enhance International cooperation for MDA. In certain markets, Channel Logistics teams with DRS Technologies to support the development and assessment of an integrated model depicting operational linkages, system interfaces, and information exchanges with other Maritime stakeholders to field and support MDA needs for a “National Capability.” The COP architecture allows organizations to discover and develop efficient threat evaluations to assure effective maritime mission objectives. The data provides the correct and consistent decompositions (operational, technical and systems) needed for objective, traceable capability-based analysis and serves as a standard unifying vehicle for comparison, analysis and integration of the Global COP.
