Russia has submitted terms of the delivery of Mikoyan MiG-29 fighter jets to Argentina.

"Argentina has shown interest in the delivery of MiG-29 planes," Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation Anatoly Punchuk was quoted as saying by TASS Wednesday.

"All proposals have been submitted to it. Now, our Argentinian partners are considering the Russian proposals concerning the delivery of MiG-29 planes," said Punchuk, who had headed the Russian delegation at the LAAD 2017 international arms exhibition.

The planes of the type are suitable for Argentina’s Armed Forces and for operation in local geographical conditions.

"However, military hardware delivery contracts should have a comprehensive nature and envisage the establishment of repair and maintenance facilities, the training of specialists and the delivery of spare parts and components. Thus, it is too early to speak about the time when the contract will be signed and the delivery will begin," Punchuk said.
