Iran’s Army Ground Force on Sunday showcased its recent technological achievements, including home-grown Heidar-6 tactical military vehicle and sniper rifle.
In a ceremony held in Tehran two days ahead of the National Army Day, Heidar-6 tactical military vehicle, equipped with a 73mm gun was unveiled. It is furnished with an anti-tank guided missile system. Bullets fired from the cannon can pierce the target up to 30cm, Tasnim news agency reported Sunday.
A 50mm caliber sniper rifle dubbed ‘Heidar’ was also showcased, in addition to a mine-laying vehicle, a trailer for carrying personnel carriers.
Heidar sniper rifle weighs 17.5 kg with magazine and all accessories, has a length of 135cm, and fires on targets at a maximum range of 3,000 meters.
