Free Syrian Army Strikes MIG-23 Fighter Jet In Northern Hama Region
Syrian Hama Airbase

The Free Syrian Army (FSA) has struck down a military aircraft in the northern Hama region Sunday.

The FSA’s ‘Jaysh Al-Nasr’ targeted the Hama Military Airport firing more than 40 grad rockets destroying a MIG-23 fighter jet parked near one of the targeted ammunition depots, AMN news portal reported Sunday.

In addition to destroying the aircraft, the Free Syrian Army also targeted the large ammo depots inside the airport, causing more destruction to the military installation.

The attack by the jihadist rebels came just hours after the Syrian Arab Army seized the strategic town of Souran in the northern countryside of Hama.
