Lockheed Martin Wins $1.3 Billion F-35 Long Lead Parts Contract

Lockheed Martin has won $1.3 billion advance acquisition contract for long-lead time materials, parts, components, and effort for 130 F-35 Lightning II aircraft for the Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps.

In addition, this contract provides long-lead time materials, parts, components, and effort for 110 Lot 13 and 14 F-35 Lightning II aircraft for the foreign military sales customers, the Pentagon announced Sunday. 

Work is expected to be completed in December 2018. 

“Fiscal 2017 aircraft procurement (Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps); non-U.S. DoD participant; and foreign military sales funds in the amount of $1,377,002,000 are being obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year,” the statement added.
