New US Missile Defence Agency Bases To Be Constructed Around World

The US Missile Defence Agency has awarded a $69 million contract to Parsons Government Services Inc. for construction of new facilities in America and a number of countries around the world.

“Parsons Government Services Inc., Pasadena, California, was awarded a $69,980,565 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (including options) for advisory and assistance services for facilities lifecycle management in support of technical, engineering, advisory and management support.  This effort is required for the Missile Defense Agency facilities, military construction, and the environmental management directorate,” the US Department of Defense announced Tuesday.

The contract requirements include facilities lifecycle management, siting, site activation planning and programming, design, engineering, construction oversight, sustainment, demolition and disposal, deployment, and integration for geographically dispersed locations identified in this performance work statement, the release states.

Locations are the National Capital Region, Huntsville in Alabama, Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico and Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, the announcement added.

The contract will also cover work on bases in Fort Greely in Alaska, the Pacific Missile Range Facility, Kwajalein, Wake and Kodiak islands, Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany and MDA sites in Romania, Poland, Japan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, it said.

Expected completion date of June 2022.
