Raytheon has won $25 million contract for Advanced Electronic Guidance and Instrumentation System (AEGIS) modernization production requirements.
This delivery order covers the production of Solid State Switch Assembly (SSSA) Ordnance Alteration kits and spares, as well as test and installation efforts, in support of the AEGIS Modernization (AMOD) program, US Department of Defense said in a statement Friday.
The AMOD program fields combat system upgrades that will enhance the anti-air warfare and ballistic missile defense capabilities of AEGIS equipped DDG 51 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers and CG 47 Ticonderoga-class cruisers.
This delivery order includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $36,481,039. Work is expected to be completed by December 2019.
