Boeing Wins $7.1B USAF C-17 Sustainment Contract

Boeing has been awarded a $7.1 billion modification to an earlier contract for C-17 sustainment due to increase in fleet and number operating bases.

Work is expected to be completed Sept. 30, 2021, the US Department of Defense said in a statement Tuesday.

The four-engine, T-tailed military transport aircraft, the multi-service C-17 can carry large equipment, supplies and troops directly to small airfields in harsh terrain anywhere in the world.
