Raytheon has been awarded a $450 million contract for Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) II integrated engineering change proposal contract.

The contract provides for design, development, integration, test and production engineering for changes to the SDB II technical and production baseline, the US Department of Defense said in a statement Wednesday.

Work is expected to be completed by Aug. 31, 2024. This award is the result of a sole-source acquisition.

Raytheon, the US Air Force and US Navy have begun SDB II bomb integration activities on the F-35, F/A-18E/F and F-15E aircraft.
