Fincantieri Delivers Last Two of Four Minerva Corvettes to Bangladesh
Minerva class OPV for Bangladesh Coast Guard

Italian Fincantieri has delivered the last two of four Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) to the Bangladesh coast guard (BCG).

The OPVs are derived from the modernization and conversion of dismantled Minerva-class corvette of the Italian Navy. Fincantieri delivered the last two units at the Muggiano Shipyard, Portale Difesa reported Friday.

The Urania and Danaide ships have been renamed as Kamruzzaman and Mansoor Ali were delivered. The other two OPVs Syed Nazrul and Tajuddin were delivered in August 2016.
