The United Arab Emirates recruited mercenaries from American Organization Blackwater aimed at overthrowing Qatar emir and replace him with ruler subservient to Saudi-led bloc, Spanish news daily ABC reported.
According to the report last week, a large number of hired mercenary troopers from Blackwater were getting trained in UAE to attack Qatar. The plans were not approved by the White House and had to be relinquished.
The invasion plans, driven by UAE, started before the declaration of the bar against Qatar by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE and Bahrain on June 5, Qatar’s former deputy prime minister H E Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah was quoted as saying by the news daily.
The plan affirms what HH Sheik Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, said amid his meeting with US President Trump, that he had halted the barricading nation’s intent to intervene militarily in Qatar. There were likewise reports in American media that Trump had discussed with UAE and Saudi Arabia and stopped them from taking any military move against Qatar.
Abu Dhabi initially hired the infamous Blackwater for its operations in Yemen as a feature of the military alliance driven by Saudi. Later they were recruited to invade Qatar and introduce a leadership which is meek and slavish to the interests of UAE and Saudi Arabia as cited in peninsular Qatar.
Spanish paper ABC told that around 15,000 mercenary soldiers were trained at Emirate military base in Liwa, western UAE.
