General Electric has won $643 million contract action to provide F110-GE-129 install engines, spare engines to Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
The contract also includes provide modernized engine monitoring system computers, over-and-above repair for government furnished property, and technical data reports, the US department of defense said in a statement Thursday.
Work is expected to be complete by Nov. 8, 2024. This contract involves 100 percent foreign military sales to Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
The F110 family provides power for F-15 and F-16 fighter aircraft and continuously infuses enhancements for added mission accomplishment. Its Service Life Extension Program contributes to the financial bottom line by doubling time-on-wing, according to GE on its website.
