Turkey’s CASA CN-235 military training plane has crashed Tuesday in the country’s southern Isparta province, killing three crew members, Daily Sabah reports Wednesday.
Rescue teams reached the wreck of aircraft at a remote location in Yalvaç distrcit, the province’s Governor Şehmus Günaydın was quoted as saying.
The cause of the crash is yet to be identified.
The CN-235 is a twin turboprop tactical transport aircraft capable of operating from short, unpaved runways. Turkey operates modified 9 CASA CN-235 aircraft – six maritime patrol aircraft for the Turkish Navy and three maritime surveillance aircraft for the Turkish Coast Guard.
