AM General To Supply 60 Humvee Military Trucks To US Army
The US Army has awarded a contract worth $11.8 million to AM General for 60 M1167 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles or HMMWV, the Department of defense announced Friday.
The HMMWV, or what is commonly known as the Humvee, is a four-wheel drive military light truck that has been regularly produced since 1984.
Work will occur in Mishawaka, Ind., and is expected to be complete by December 2018.
The total amount of the contract will be obligated to AM General from Army fiscal 2017 other procurement funds.
